PORTFOLIO: HOSPITALITY
Golf Dunes Resort Community
St. Petersburg, Russia
This concept design was developed for a 500-acre, 27-hole golf club and residential resort on the Gulf of Finland in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. In collaboration with the site master planner, Belt Collins, RIM Architects provided planning and conceptual design services for a 12,000 SM (129,166 SF) resort hotel and spa, a 2,500 SM (26,900 SF) clubhouse, golf academy, equestrian center, indoor tennis center, retail center, 2- and 3-story mansion flats, and single family residences ranging in size from 300-1200 SMs (3,230-12,916 SF).
In addition to coordination within the City of St. Petersburg’s land use requirements, RIM provided computer-generated site massing models and renderings as well as schematic floor plans and exterior design for the campus of buildings.
The major architectural motifs are based on traditional and modern interpretations of the Georgian period architecture for which St. Petersburg is famous.
